Met Gala 2026 to Celebrate Black Dandyism

The 2026 Met Gala, scheduled for May 5, will celebrate fashion through the lens of Black dandyism, with its theme inspired by the Met's Costume Institute spring exhibition 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.' The exhibition, the first focused on menswear since 2003, examines 300 years of Black style and dandyism as cultural critique and expression, thanks to guest curator Monica L. Miller. While the full guest list remains secret, queer icons like Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Queen Latifah, Dan Levy, and Cara Delevingne are expected. Stylist Law Roach will team up with Burberry for the event.
